NEOFLON™ FEP Resin

NEOFLON™ FEP Resin

Description
Daikin NEOFLON FEP is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene. Daikin FEP consists of carbon atoms and fluorine atoms, as does PTFE, and has the following molecule structure in which one of the fluorine atoms bonded to the carbon atoms on the main chain is replaced by a trifluoromethyl radical (-CF3), as compared with the structure of PTFE.

Daikin NEOFLON FEP has a lower melt viscosity than PTFE and can be processed like other thermoplastic resin by the melt flow processes of extrusion, transfer, injection, and compression molding.

NEOFLON FEP fluorocarbon polymer is a high performance material and is almost equally comparable with PTFE in both chemical and electrical properties. In addition, it possesses excellent melt flow processability.
